FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I constantly read information, new techniques, new shows that might show a better way or a different approach. I am always open to new ideas. The goal is to help families and help canines stay in their forever home. I don't want to see them have to be moved, so reading, researching and trying different idea's is something I do daily to keep up with the needs of my clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am self taught and worked with dogs all my life. I don't have many memories that a dog is not a part of it. I became a hobby breeder and so many people asking me how my dogs were so quiet and polite and something they had not seen with "Poodles and Maltese" which are known as hyper and barking little dogs. I decided to offer crate training and extended training to my puppies before they went home. After that I got more and more calls wanting me to come to other peoples homes to help them get their small dog back in line. I didn't realize there was that great of a need but after so many requests I decided to start doing more training with outside clients small puppies and dogs.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Number one request almost every week is to help housebreak their puppy or dog. How to get the dog on schedule, sleep through the night and crate trained. Teaching my clients how to have a well behaved and quiet dog indoors, how to properly walk their dog without the dog dragging them down the street, no barking in the house are the most requests 90% of the time and will small dogs its more common to have yappy and out of control dogs. I have 10 dogs in my home, they are not allowed to bark and go crazy IN DOORS. They have outside manners and INSIDE manners:)
