When we initially spoke and the balance was around $256, that was mid-move at 2.25 hours— which you were ok with when we spoke on the phone. However, the job was not complete yet. The final total reflects the full 4 hours of work at $114/hr, which is already a discounted rate from our standard pricing. The crew stayed until everything was finished, which is what you ultimately received. Drive time to and from our office was also included which you were aware of, and was also stated in the agreement you signed before beginning. We’d also waived the deposit for you. Regarding the unloading location — the team did place items in the garage first, and then followed direction from the person you left in charge to bring items inside. They acted based on instructions given on-site, not on their own. As for the blankets, the crew did have and use moving blankets, and we have photo documentation showing items wrapped and protected. If additional items needed coverage beyond what was available at that moment, they still took care to protect everything appropriately and completed the move without damages. Also, the old curtains were not even necessary. I understand you feel it should have taken less time, but two movers completing loading, transport (22 miles), and unloading—while following updated instructions—within 4 hours is within a normal and reasonable timeframe. The job wasn’t just “moving 5 small items,” it included the full process start to finish. We do things right. At this point, the agreed service has been completed in full, and the remaining balance is $399. We cannot accept partial payment. If payment isn’t completed, it will have to be escalated further than a text—payment is due immediately upon completion of the job. Also, to be transparent, due to the dispute and breakdown in communication here, we won’t be able to provide services to you again in the future. Let’s wrap this up cleanly. Thank you.
