Leonard was on top of communication and he was one of two contractors (out of 5 that I had reached out for sod) to return my phone call. He gave me an honest estimate and installed a couple days later. He takes check or cash only. He recommended St Augustine and I am glad he did. Sod was installed to my liking and I followed his instructions. Very few pieces stayed brown (I had some irrigation troubles earlier with some blind spots but the brown pieces I'm referring to were not in the blind spots, see pic) however I increased watering time and I don't believe the sod is fully dead but there is barely any green popping up whereas the other pieces that I began watering heavily began to fill in nicely after the fix. Reason for 4 stars is I noticed a lot of weeds that I have not seen in my yard before. There is also this thinner, taller type "grass" that pops up here and there but I have not sprayed weed killer yet (only insecticide). Otherwise, sod is thriving and the patches under my tree are the fullest (also noticed that is where most of the weeds are). Attaching pics. My neighbors are very impressed and I have also recommended him to my co workers as they are in the process of buying a home also. Thanks again for fitting me into the busy schedule.
