- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You definitely want to do your homework before you hire any service professional. Whether your needs are residential or commercial, you want to make sure that you know who you are allowing into your "personal space." Have a budget in mind of how much you want to spend. Have a target budget (a dollar amount that you feel comfortable with) and an absolute budget (a dollar amount that you CANNOT exceed). A good service professional can work with you on both of these dollar amounts. You should thoroughly research their website and learn as much as you can about them. It is important that you work with service professionals who are licensed and insured. Make sure you read their reviews on other service review websites. If you read something online that is questionable, contact the service professional and question them about it. Ask to see before and after pictures of similar work that you want to have done. Always request a list of references from past clients and be diligent on calling these contacts. Make sure that the service professional has a personality that you feel comfortable with because you always want to maintain excellent communication. The service professional should NEVER make you feel uncomfortable to ask any questions. Communication is key. Always remember that this is your project and you are in control.
