Honestly, the work they did was amateur. The new floor installed in my closet was not installed correctly, and the replacement and transfer of some closet flooring into my living room was sub-par. There were holes and cracks left everywhere, and the baseboards im the closet were not replaced correctly. Nothing sealed either. It was not a professional clean look in any sense. The only positive I would say was that communication was quick, and they came in the next day. I was charged $500 for a job for a removal, replacement, and installation, which was less than 40 sqft, and it was not done well. I am hoping they do well in the future

I fully expected tack strips to be laid so the carpet would adhere correctly, and I regret that this wasn’t done to standard. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $75/Hour for handyman services, with a 2-hour pay minimum. However some jobs have a set price I.e. Furniture assembly. There is also a $5-$20 Travel charge for customers that are more than a 10 miles radius out of West Palm Beach.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A Phone Call briefing as well as photos really help.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Since I was younger, I’ve always been very handy. I always watched the men in my family work, and I picked up several things.
