wow! I look forward every week to my lesson with Kristen. I have been to multiple teachers in the Orlando area and even out and none of them compare to Kristen and her teachings. She really listens to the voice and can pinpoint what needs to be improved within it and she fixes it. I remember in my first vocal lesson, she noticed a breathing issue with my singing and fixed it right away!! She combines professionalism with a friendly personality. If you are serious about singing or even improving your voice, I would not hesitate to contact Kristen and book a lesson!Jun 8, 2018Verified
Kirstin is great, she works with all levels and ages. During my first lesson Kristin helped me feel very at ease, despite my being extremely nervous to sing in front of someone for the first time! Very much looking forward to continuing my lessons with Kristin.Sep 21, 2018Verified
Very responsible! Had everything ready for the lesson!Jul 12, 2018Verified
Kristen is THE BEST. She has made me feel confident and comfortable every step of the way. She has a unique way of explaining concepts and ideas that makes learning very easy. She makes each practice practical. You can tell she really knows her craft and also that she cares, and wants you to learn and understand. I've had lessons from others in the past, and never learned anything. But with only three lessons so far, I've learned more with Kristen than 3 years in music lessons. I think that she has a true calling and passion in teaching. She listens and personalized her lessons to your specific goals. I am truly finding my own unique voice with each lesson. I'm excited each time we meet and I get better each time! I highly recommend anyone, of any age to work with Kristen.Jun 10, 2018

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing depends largely on how long you want your lesson to be, how frequently you take lessons, and your method of payment. I offer discounts if weekly lessons are on auto-debit. Full pricing details can be found on my studio's website at singorlando.com/pricing-policies/
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Usually, we begin with an introduction session! 45-minute intro sessions are $35. It's a great no-stress way for a potential client to get to know me and vice-versa. You can sign up on my website (link above). Click on "Schedule," then "Book Now," and then choose "Intro Session."
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I graduated from the University of Virginia with two degrees in Musical Theatre and Literature. Since then, I've worked as a professional performer, as a professional children's theatre director, and as a classroom educator. I've studied and performed a variety of vocal styles (classical, contemporary rock/pop, belt, jazz) and apply that knowledge to determine what works best for each of my students. I'm also under the direct tutelage of a seasoned vocal coach so I know how to teach not just what works for me, but also what works for each type of voice! For more, take a look at my website and blog above or find me on Facebook or Twitter (@orlvoiceteacher)! I'm also honored to have been chosen as one of the top 12 voice teachers in Orlando by Expertise.com!
