Introduction: Karen is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and serves on the music faculty at Rollins College and Seminole State College. She teaches voice, piano, and conducting. She has over 15 years of training and teaching experience.
As a conductor, Karen is a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), Chorister's Guild, Handbell Musicians of America, and Chorus America. She currently serves as the chorusmaster for the Messiah Choral Society of Orlando and director of Women's choir at Rollins College.
Prior to moving to Central Florida, Karen established a choir program and accompanying curriculum at a K-8 school in North Carolina and worked there as a teacher and voice instructor. Serving for several years as director of music and worship arts at a large church in Greensboro, NC, Karen also directed and oversaw a robust music ministry, including 3 adult choirs, a youth choir, children's choirs, and a handbell choir.
Karen offers private voice and conducting lessons to students of all ages and levels of experience. She also offers private beginning piano lessons.
