Sing With Praise Vocals offers the most constructive, affirming and encouraging vocal instruction I've seen delivered anywhere in my 30 year professional music career. At the risk of sounding biased (as I've known the lead instructor for decades), I can honestly assert that their focus on fundamentals has prepared our students to consistently perform at their best, day in and day out. As someone who studied Classical Voice as a university student, I have some perspective on conventional and modern methodology. With this in mind, I have the highest praise for their philosophy and their methods. Take a sample lesson: You won't believe how much better you'll sing after even one hour!

I learned so much about voice and praise from Aurora Marra. She was so dedicated to helping me grow in choir. Her small group sessions made it easier for me to practice and listen to others around me. I learned not be afraid of my voice. Thanks to Aurora I have more confidence, better breathing techniques, and a better range. She made learning voice fun.

I was looking to try out singing lessons. Through a mutual friend who was taking lessons, I had met Aurora. We set up lessons at her place of resident. She was very professional from to get go. She would not just instruct but also teach so that you would know why you were doing certain things. Not having taken lessons before, she was amazing. I would recommend her to anyone!

Aurora is an excellent voice instructor and a joy to work with. She tailors her approach to each student's individual needs, and makes an effort to ensure that you get what you want out of your lessons. In my daughter's first lesson, Aurora quickly identified some of her problem areas. She developed ways for her to improve, and there was indeed noticeable growth in no time at all! Whether my daughter wanted to work more on vocal exercises or on specific songs, Aurora structured the lessons based on my daughter's priorities. Aurora is welcoming, flexible, patient and encouraging - what a gem!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a sliding scale when it comes to pricing as well as monthly discounts for students who pay upfront. Students are asked to sign a cancelation policy and contract.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Voice: A typical first lesson starts with a small questionnaire, then we start a basic foundation and get your range. Students will be asked to prepare 1 song of their choosing to sing for the instructor during their first lesson when applicable. Piano: A typical first lesson starts with a small questionnaire, then we start a basic foundation and decide what books we need to purchase moving forward. Students will be asked to prepare 1 song of their choosing to play for the instructor during their first lesson if applicable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years experience performing on the stage in many different avenues. I have studied at Shenandoah Conservatory for Musical Theater and studied voice and worship for over 15 years.
