ABOUT ME:
I’m a software developer with a passion for teaching, which I pursue as a hobby. I’m also a certified driving instructor with the Georgia Department of Driver Services. What began as helping relatives, friends, and their spouses eventually grew into teaching their children as well.
My primary focus is building safe driving habits—because the earlier they’re developed, the better they stick. When you learn with me, you’ll gain both confidence and strong safety awareness. Getting your driver’s license will naturally follow.
Driving isn’t about saying, “It wasn’t my fault.” It’s about learning how to prevent accidents in the first place.
I’m known for being patient and understanding. Every learner is different, and I believe in accepting students as they are. Beginners should be allowed to learn at their own pace—there’s no expectation for them to drive like experienced drivers right away.
While driving itself can be straightforward, teaching it effectively is a different skill. A good instructor understands how to think from the learner’s perspective, identify challenges, and provide practical solutions. That’s where I excel.

Shay did a great job with my son. he explain all the key points upfront and gave him a routine to follow and check points to look out for . I saw a huge difference in just one drivinglesson. We scheduled him for 2 more classes.. he was well worth the money! We had previous scheduled drivinglessons from Taggart Driving school and Shay classes were more helpful / productive than Taggart classes and more affordable. Thanks Shay!

Shay's calm and patient personality helped to soothe any anxiety exhibited by my sons prior to each lesson. I signed them up for a few lessons to get them ready for their driving test, and they both aced it the first time. He came highly recommended, and I do recommend his services as well.

I feel extremely fortunate to have found this instructor. He worked with my daughter who had lost some of her confidence in her driving ability. He was able to quickly, and accurately, pinpoint the skills that needed to be honed. He was able to connect with her in a manner that made it easy for her to grasp and retain the information and skills needed. I really had NO idea what/who I was looking for in a "driving instructor." Trusted Driving more than exceeded all expectations! His rates and flexibility on session times were excellent. I would highly recommend him!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In this Industry, each driving lesson is 2 hours long. So the price would be $150 for each lesson.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we established *************, first I would inquire about the needs of the future student. It could be parents trying to develop safe driving habits for their teens or adults who have moved into the US and want to learn driving.
Once their need is assessed I would plan out the driving schedule. I prefer at least the first 2 lessons on consecutive days. I will pick my student from their residence and drop them off at the resident.
Drop off could be a different location, depending on the distance and my next class. For teens I should have parent's permission if the drop off is different from the pick up location.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified driving training instructor from the Georgia Department of Driver Services. My driving school “Trusted Driving” is approved by the Georgia Department of Driver Services.
As the teens are involved, the Georgia government wants to make sure they are in safe hands. All certified driving training instructors from the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) have to pass rigorous criminal background check, figure printing and drug and alcohol tests. The DDS also inspect all vehicles used for driver training to make sure they meet the standard set by DDS.
I have a Toyota Prius with a passenger side break that is required by DDS.
