We met Kristie at a Starbucks, halfway between her and us. She was very friendly at our first meeting. We told her what we wanted. We had about 20 tables that needed to be decorated in a beach theme. She showed us 2 pictures of beach table displays. We picked one we liked. It was simple, but pretty. Basically all the tables would have shells, sand, and candles. A month after we first met with her she stated we needed to pay her in order to book her, as she is very busy. So in September, 2016 we paid her, IN FULL. We planned and paid for our 130 people wedding ourselves. I had not heard anything back from Kristie, after I paid her in September. I felt she should have followed up with us a few months before our wedding, just to make sure everything was going well. So after I didn't hear anything from her, In March (2 months until our wedding) I reached out to her. I sent her all and any info she should need for our reception, including diagrams, times, contact people, etc. I asked her if she got my email, she said yes, then she proceeded to ask me all these questions that were all answered in the email...... basically she lied about reading my email, which cost me extra time. Then she said she would call me on the following Sunday @ 1:00, I waited on her call, then I texted her @5pm, and then she finally called me back. Things seemed to be ok at that point. Then I sent out a follow up text to her the end of March and she tells me she's upset because she needs to be able to get in the venue sooner in the day because she has 3 other events that day!!! Even if you do, you don't tell a stressed out bride to be that!!!! We paid her for a service so that we didn't have to worry if our tables were going to get decorated or not. She definitely made us feel unimportant. The Wednesday before our wedding I reached out to her, I even let her know that I was going to have a close friend there to help her out. I texted her, and called her, finally later that night she responds, all is well! To be honest, we didn't even know if she was going to even show up, that's how nervous she had me. My friend and I even had back up shells and candles, just in case she didn't show up!!! Then as she's decorating the tables, she's all stressed out, being rude to everyone there, even the caterers. She states, "Well she's just not going to get what she wants, I'm in a hurry" This is a quote!!!! Did she really think my friends wouldn't tell me what she was saying?? The other super weird thing about her is that I am the one who hired her, NOT my husband. She had my phone number, she had my email, and my info was on thumbtack.........WHY would she call my then fiance at work, when she couldn't even get back to me in a timely manner?????? This is super weird. Then she saw me at the end of our reception, she didn't even say 2 words to me, like congrats, anything! Super unprofessional!!!! Every other person we hired were so professional and amazing. Also everyone else took a deposit, then a week or 2 before the event the balance was due. She was the only one who had to have 100% up front. That is why she didn't care come time for the event , she had already been paid almost a year earlier, so there was no motivation or incentive to care about our event . DO NOT hire her!!!!!! So unprofessional!!!
