FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Summer Savings happening now! Please note: The estimated per-session price you may see on Thumbtack is listed for comparison purposes only. That number reflects only the first hour of a session and doesn't include travel time. In other words, the clock starts the moment you open the door. Been there. Done that. It's... dreadful. That's exactly why we don't offer pay-per-session training. Instead, we offer complete training programs with clear, fixed pricing, so you know your total investment upfront. No watching the clock. No wondering how much today's visit will cost. No feeling like anyone is trying to squeeze a few more minutes out of you. Why programs? Because successful training takes consistency and commitment. After nearly 30 years of helping families train their dogs, I've found that lasting change rarely happens one session at a time. A structured program gives you, your dog, and your family the time, support, and accountability needed to build habits that actually last. We offer several private, results-based programs designed around different goals and the amount of support that makes the most sense for your situation. Our most popular programs are typically completed in about 6–8 sessions, depending on your goals. Not every dog needs a comprehensive training program, though. Sometimes you just need help solving a specific problem, refreshing skills, or getting back on track. We have a program designed just for that. It provides focused coaching and practical solutions without the commitment of one of our more comprehensive training programs. We also know that investing in professional training is a big decision. That's why we offer a limited number of Action & Accountability Discounts each month on our Foundations Program. Families who are ready to get started, stay engaged, and complete the program as designed can save up to $100. It's our way of rewarding commitment because that's exactly what leads to the best results. The best part? You don't have to figure out which program is right for you before reaching out. It all starts with a Free Discovery Call. We'll talk about your dog, what's been going on, answer your questions, and recommend the program that makes the most sense for your goals—including whether you qualify for any current discounts. 👉 Book your Free Discovery Call, and let's talk about the best path forward for you and your dog.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting started is simple. STEP 1: Schedule your Free Discovery Call. We'll talk about your dog, what's been going on, and what you'd like to accomplish. I'll answer your questions, explain how the training works, and recommend the program that makes the most sense for your goals. STEP 2: Enroll and schedule your first session. Once you've chosen the program that's right for you, you can conveniently schedule your appointments online at times that fit your schedule. STEP 3: Start seeing real progress. Follow the simple training plan we create together, stay consistent, and you'll begin building better habits, clearer communication, and a dog that's easier to live with. You'll be amazed at how much more enjoyable life with your dog can be.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended the Marin Humane Society's first Dog Trainers Academy. Over the years I've continued expanding my education through in-person seminars, online courses, and countless hours studying canine behavior. But the biggest teacher has been experience. After nearly 30 years of working with hundreds of dogs and their families, I've learned that every dog is different—and every family deserves a training plan that fits their goals.
