Helping Hands interaction was very easy, this was my first time using Thumbtack, he responded right away, I had a quote for my job within 2 hours. My delivery arrived early and he was able to come a day earlier than our scheduled time. He stayed responsive throughout the entire job. I am extremely pleased with my office furniture that he assembled and I’ve already hired him for my next job (mount TVs and hang art). And FYI, he took down my old desk and stacked the pieces neatly in the garage. 🤗

I hired Jay to assemble a bunkbed with dresser stairs on the side. Jay responded immediately and gave an great estimate for the work that needed to be done. He arrived on time and was very polite and professional. He took his time to ensure the Bunkbed was assembled properly and that the kids would be safe on it. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base all my prices on my lowest rate for that item. Example: my bed frame price is based on a frame only with no storage that’s Queen size or smaller. Storage raises the rate as well as king size, bunk, loft style, Murphy bed etc.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a performer on a tour, but they taught some of the performers to do stagehand work. That lead to me doing stage carpentry. From their, I became fascinated with handy skills.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I did a bunk bed with a staircase and hidden drawers. Very proud of that piece.
