Ryan is truly a jack of all trades, he not only helped me design but helped build the basement of my dreams. We worked through mood boards, 2D floor plans complete with furniture but also 3D models. When it came time for construction they handled permits, materials labor EVERYTHING! I cannot recommend or thank them enough.

Delano Designs helped with a countertop and new fixture renovation in our powder room. Some unforeseen challenges arose and they handled the situation professionally and swiftly. Been in the flooring vertical for over 25 years reached out to this gentleman about doing a small shower in the open space shown in the photos. He never sent a quote indicating he needed a design layout for the space. I’m going to be directly honest with anyone who books with moving forward since he didn’t actually do my work I can or speak about craftsmanship. However, don’t let someone take your money who just puts out a lot of smoke n mirrors for jobs I’ve been in the industry long enough to know this was a simple project that’s consisted of demo, prep, drywall, paint, plumbing that could have easily been pulled with a frameless glass shower. The space was for a bathroom that was not used in house but only for guest wasn’t going to spend a fortune but this company is trying to make you believe anything. I’ve noticed in every bad review he defends himself vs. potentially admitting a mishap on his part. I encourage you do more diligence or find a company you that actually wants to work with you and provide an estimate. I have no hard feelings rather disappointment in the way this company operates the business. *They also asked if I wanted to pull Permit or not which for small jobs is a good option but before they reply and mention some one off as to the reasoning I wanted to make sure I mentioned that.

William, We appreciate you reaching out to our firm, But we want to make sure you and people reading this review understand some key facts here. You requested a shower to be placed in an area where it was not allowed (a room with electrical panel) and it was also a non-permittable area for the reason of size (showers are required to be 30"x30") Thus the firm informing you & your partner that plans would need to be drawn to reconfigure the whole space. Something you seem to have been angered by and thought was a simple job that no permits were necessary to be pulled while they absolutely are, a service that is not free as it is laborious and requires fees to be paid to the city/county. Your disappointment that we would not make construction plans for free and form an estimate for you to build a non-permittable shower speak more towards your misunderstanding of construction than towards our practices. We wish you the best and hope you find a permissible way to gain your guest space shower.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Consultations & Estimates are free but to be placed on the calendar there is a 50% deposit and 50% due upon completion
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all starts with a phone call, email or text! Then we schedule a consultation time for me to see your project (if it is a small repair they can sometimes be quoted by photos alone). Once a Quote is generated and deposit sent, the ordering of materials begins and prep work (material transportation and protective materials for floors, doorways etc laid) starts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a non-traditional student of interior design through the years, advising multi family property I have worked at for lobby, model apartments, gym common spaces etc. As well as furnishing, renovating and renting out my owned real estate.
