FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard system is $50 for two hours. That is pretty much the same stipend any Language School ever paid me for two hours lesson. The Language Institute of Atlanta paid me $60/2 hours lesson a few weeks ago when they called me to teach a class. Obviously the students pay more than that as a percentage is taken by the school. I personally don't think it makes sense to take only one hour, as all the lessons are tailored on 2 hours bases by all the major language schools. However I offer 1 hour for $35 to accommodate every request. I personally don't think that any prepared and professional teacher would teach for less than that.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depending by the level of the customer I begin teaching the right level. If someone is intermediate or advanced I may test their proficiency and then go with the lesson I consider appropriate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have thought Italian since 2006 in Atlanta, working at the Language Institute of Atlanta (I still collaborate with them from time to time), I have also thought at the International Language Institute, I tutored Italian at Georgia Perimeter College and I have collaborated with the Italiano Language Center, all in Atlanta. I studied Italian Literature in Italy and I wrote three Italian novels in Italian, one "the games of the parts" has been published on line by the Gremese Publishing House in Rome in 1999. I consider myself a linguist at this point. I can also deliver perfect translations. For what it concerns the teaching of Mathematics, I have a Bachelor in Mathematics and a Master in Economics. I have been teaching Algebra on a side for a few years to high school students.
