My name is Shaquille Richards, and I’m a professional freelance makeup artist. I’ve been in the beauty industry for well over a decade. My makeup artistry experience is broad and consists of beautifying brides and bridal parties, boudoir sessions, fine-tuning makeup for headshots, creating timeless looks for special occasions, film, and editorial work, and teaching makeup lessons. I pride myself on educating my clients and I feel that this is very important for reaching an individual’s beauty success. Creating beauty and connecting with people is what I live for. For me, being a makeup artist is more than just enhancing someone’s exterior, it’s uncovering someone’s true beauty and helping to reveal that person’s inner confidence. Makeup can feel very empowering for people, and I love to be a part of one’s self-discovery. Beauty is really about self-expression and self-acceptance.
