Great, just great.Aug 26, 2017Verified
The recent hiring of 404 Movers of Atlanta was one of my worst mistakes in life thus far. The initial conversations with the moving company were misleading as it relates to services they are able to provide. Never hire this company to move in any of your items. The operation manager never apologized nor ask how he could resolve the situation with the damages. I summited a request for all my valuable leather & wood furniture to be wrap in blankets for the move. These instructions were not adhered to; thus I’m stuck with the damages. The management team is completely unprofessional and will badger you over the phone when you confront them about error or mistakes. During this move I paid a cost of $5 per moving blanket so that my items could be securely wrapped for the trip. See some of pictures that I attached. Also I had several boxes crushed due to poor packing skills. I will provide a full detailed list of all damaged items in the future. Signed Unsatisfied Customer!Sep 30, 2016VerifiedMitchie M.'s reply
Hi John, We do over 3000 moves per year and climbing and we have won quality service awards with thumbtack several years running now and while we are not perfect I also don't feel your review is accurate or fair. We advised that you purchase blankets (which we gave to you at a GREATLY reduced rate of $5 per blanket) to protect your furniture since you were going out of state. How this misrepresents our services I am not sure? When one of going out of state they MUST purchase their own blankets. We only provide blankets on in state moves where we unpack customers and take our blankets back, otherwise we would have given away over $600 worth of blanklets which cost $10-$15 per blanket brand new. You stated that "The operations manager never apologized nor ask how he could resolve the situation with the damages". You moved interstate and by law when one company packs you up and another separate company unloads you at the other end, we are not responsible for ANY damages unless you notate them and point them out at the load up. You watched our crew perform the load up and there no notations of any damages at the load up This is not a rule we made up this is the law. We are sorry for your experience but when it was not just 404Movers that handled the whole move from a to z we cannot be held responsible. Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our moto is Premium Moves at Bargain Prices! This means No Gimmicks, No miscellaneous fees, No Small Print. Just one low straight straight hourly fee that starts when we arrive at your house!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes indeed. We keep abreast of regulations issues by our regulatory body (Georgia Department of Public Safety) and the DOT (Department of Transportation guidelines rulings on vehicle safety.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I kind of fell into it actually. I got a job as a mover wanting to get into shape because I had an office job for so long and wanted to get into shape. I enjoy meeting people and the physical aspect of it because desk jobs are not for me. I am a hands on literally type of person.
