FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I communicate with the client to find out exactly what they would like with no grey-areas. Then, I normally take a percentage of the deposit at the beginning with the signing of a contract which would normally cover the cost of the necessary beforehand products and collect the remaining balance the day of drop off or event. When it comes to catering i try to work with the clients stating at least $13.00 per person. Standard round cakes starting starting about $50.00. Wedding Cakes- 2 tier starts around ($500.00) 3 tier starts around (600.00). Personal Chef Services i typically charge $25.00 per hour. Cooking classes could run at a base price of $300.00 per session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Primarily, thank them for allowing me the opportunity to cook for them and their guest. Understanding that as the new client, they are trusting me to make a good impression which i have no problem doing. I listen attentively taking notes and already thinking of ways to cater to their needs. Then i communicate the options and routes we could take in order to make this a successful event for them and the guests. Everyone smile with a full belly and a happy heart.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been cooking and baking my whole life side by side with my gramps. Watching and listening, carrying, helping and tasting. This served as a stepping stone to allow me to feel even more comfortable in the kitchen and know what good food taste like. I attended Johnson and Wales University right after High School and received my Associates. I worked in different parts of the U.S such as Las Vegas, NV, Harbor Beach, MI and a few cites here in florida such as Aventura, Miami Gardens, and Miami Beach
