- How did you get started doing this type of work?
“Fowler & Family Pressure Washing and Landscaping” started two years ago as a very modest small landscaping service that I did only in my local community part-time while employed with PepsiCo Gatorade. I left PepsiCo Gatorade when my mother feel ill with Parkinson’s disease and a short time later breast cancer. I’m my mother’s only child so I decided to resign to care for her when her condition was to the point she wasn’t able to care for herself. I would do landscaping whenever I had the opportunity in order to generate income when I could. When my mother passed I mourned for quite a while, but I knew that she was most proud of me when she was able to see me doing something that made me happy and self sufficient. That’s when I one day decided to go into not only landscaping but pressure washing as well full-time. I haven’t wanted to do anything else since and not one moment have I regretted my decision to go into business for myself.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently was able to do a driveway and walkway for a high school friend on a home that he had just purchased. He was having issues with standing water in his driveway that was leaving mud and algae stains as well as a few oil stains from his vehicles. Once the job was completed the level of satisfaction I was able to witness him have is what maybe me want to go into business for myself some time ago. I was able to give his used but newly purchased home a bright and vibrant look that’ll last for quite some time.
