FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price by the hour for the first session and then discuss with the tutor and parent what we feel the child truly needs to meet his potential. At that point, we discuss a plan and how many sessions we think that will take. I encourage a package of sessions as consistency yields results. The number of sessions you choose depends on the pricing. The more sessions chosen, the bigger the discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The parent and I decide on a date/time to discuss the child over the phone. With 25 years experience, I decide on the best tutor that can meet that child's need by listening, planning and customizing a program for them to make sure they are successful. The tutor and parent then decide where to hold the tutoring sessions, whether it be the home or a nearby library for instance. We are flexible with days, times and location.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All my credentials are on my website which is posted on my profile. I am a 25 year veteran educator with an Ed.S. Degree. Have taught regular and gifted education for 23 years. I currently work part-time leading gifted teachers and running 504 meetings. I have also worked in leadership positions, so I am in meetings where I hear lots of important information regarding what children are doing in general. I have had lots and lots of training in various curriculums and in the education systems in the metro area. I have presented and attended various educational conferences as well.
