When I first spoke with Doug on the phone for our consultation, for the first time in my life I felt like I was heard. When I first started with Doug I was skeptical because this is my first experience doing any sort of therapy, but after the first session I was amazed by how he was able to help me come to acknowledge and eventually accept parts of myself I’ve been sweeping under the rug for some time. Dr. Doug Miller and worked have be. Doing weekly/bi weekly sessions for almost 6 months now and the amount of self improvement I've made from his help has been tremendous. He has helped me identify triggers stemming from child hood traumatic situations and gave me direction to confront as well as overcome these issues with myself. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because I am getting started on Thumbtack, I am offering a sliding scale for a limited time.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with either a no cost phone call or a 20 minute no cost video, which helps you get to know how I work and I get to know more about you. I will ask various questions to get to know what is happening for you and what you want from therapy. Then, we will schedule an hour session as soon as convenient.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA with High Honors in Psychology from Clark University, minors in Biology and Comparative Cognitive Anthropology. MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Georgia State University. In total, 40 years of a wide range of training and experience and I have developed my own approaches, like many seasoned therapists.
