I'm Misty Renfro, a professional ballroom dancer and teacher with 21 years of experience and national titles. I choreograph wedding first dances for real couples, including total beginners and proud owners of two left feet!

Misty is just the BEST. Watching her work with couples to create their first dance was amazing. She is so intuitive to how couples respond to each other, the way one leads and one follows and recognizing who is rushing and who isn’t leading well enough - the trust between the two- is something that most people would never recognize. It created a beautiful dance between the two. It’s a counseling session combined with dance!!! And the end result was just beautiful in just 3 lessons!!! They left confident and even more trusting with each other. She is worth every single dollar you will spend. And she’s SO FUN!!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My First Dance package (5 one-hour lessons) is $400 — that's what most couples need. The Showstopper package (10 lessons) is $750 for couples who want a fully choreographed routine. Three lessons are $255, and single lessons are $90. Father-daughter and mother-son dances are $75 per lesson, and wedding party entrance dances are quoted by party size. No hidden fees, no upsells — you pay for the lessons you book.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a quick chat about your song, your wedding date, and your comfort level — total beginners welcome. Then I choreograph a dance custom-built for you two, and we learn it across your lessons at your home, your venue, or my location. Most couples are ready in 3–5 lessons, with a final polish run before the big day.

I'm a professional ballroom dancer and teacher with 21 years of experience, and I've competed nationally with titles to show for it. I've spent my career teaching partner dancing at every level, from first-timers to seasoned competitors.
