- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father, brother, and uncle was all glass contractors. My dad started his career at Lowe Glass Company in East Point Georgia. He proceeded to work later at Forest Park Glass & Mirror. Afterwards he began to contract with Georgia-Carolina Glass as a commercial glass contractor where he Installed storefront glass on Hardy's, Chick-fil-A's, McDonald's, Burger Kings and others, up and down the eastern United States from Florida to New York. As a kid I recall being amazed with his tools and often played with them. During my teens and as a young adult I was often in the glass truck with him working at various sites. At the age of 18 I joined Fulton County Fire Department and retired after 30 years of service. During this entire time I continue working part time with my dad. Upon retiring from Fulton County I formed M D Knox Custom Glass & Mirror, LLC
