FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get in my line of work back in 2004. I had just gotten out of the Marines and found and job just to hold me over for a while. I realized how much that I liked to work outside and I did not mind cutting grass at all, so I figured what was stopping me. I borrow some money and started my own business. I have been doing landscaping / lawn care for about 7 years now, and it gets better and better every year. The jobs that I do get harder and harder to do every year, but I really like the challenge of it and I want to have the knowledge to do it all. I like to look back at the job that I have done, and know that I have made a big difference on my customers landscape.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs that I do are lawn care maintenance, and landscaping. The best way that I can describe it is, if it is in your yard usually I can do it or I can give you a dependable reference if I can not do the project.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When the person comes out to give you an estimate, make sure that he is prompt or he gives you a courtesy call to tell you he might be late. Next he should be able to identify 90% of the plants and grass on the property. You should also ask him what kind of equipment or manpower he has so that you know that he can do the job the way you need it done or with little to no difficulty.
