Off Leash Dog Academy

I grew up on the inside of Veterinarian in the early 1970’s when dog trainers really didn’t exist. This is truly where I absorbed most of my “doggie” knowledge from playing inside the kennels daily with all the dogs. They truly were my best friends at the age of 5! As most kids do when they are in certain situations they soak up everything around them and I was lucky enough to soak up dog behavior and pack dynamics. As I grew up I became more and more focused on the behavioral side of dogs and poured myself into books and tons of questions for every veterinarian we had on site! I became very hands on and assisted with every dog they would allow me to handle to evidentially the doctors would call upon me to handle the more challenging dogs for them while they exam and treated them. So needless to say my first real paying job was a vet-tech. So, fast forward many decades later I got my degree in Animal Behavior with a minor in education which has helped to to bring both dogs and humans together. I still pour myself into as much continuing education about my industry and strive to stay up-to-date on all the latest technology to make sure I can give my clients and their canine campions the best training and behavioral solutions that are in the now. It's a very rewarding job to be able to work with dogs on daily bases. I feel very proud and honored to have this profession. Helping owners with their 4-legged companion(s) to understand each other is a daily joy for me! Plus working with dogs my whole life they have truly taught me to think like a dog and I feel very blessed to be a part of that bubble! Meaning dogs live in the moment and don’t think about the past or stress about the future. They keep moving in a forward motion.... it’s us humans that block them and build walls that prevent this, thus the start of behavioral issues that will continue to escalate in a downward spinal,
