I have had a very difficult time getting a pool repair company to come out to bid on this job. I'm selling the house and it came up in the home inspection. I think its a small job and this is a very busy time of the year. My regular guys indicated that the repair wasn't something they would take on in the manner suggested by the home inspector. Okay, I get that but that's the solution the buyer wants. So I'm stuck with it. Three other companies (all recommended by others) took a look at the specifications and pictures and just stopped returning my phone calls. Another company, on a competing site to Thumbtack, said it would come out and never showed. I was at my wit's end to get this done. I actually explored the possibility of DIY - a very desperate move for pool repair.
Along came Thumbtack, Bahia Pools, and Luis and Andrea. I have just one word . . . tremendous. They came out to look at the job and got back to me when they said they would with a reasonable quote. They committed to doing the work on Wednesday, 7/5. I was okay with that since they first came out to see the job on 6/28 and I know it's a busy time. Miracle of miracles, they were able to work me in today (Monday, 7/3).
They showed up with the materials they needed - ready to go. The repair looks great. They left specific instructions regarding after care. They cleaned up after themselves. The price was exactly what they said it would be. Luis and Andrea were a fabulous team and I would recommend them without reservation. I was blown away.
