I have been training with Doc for almost eight years now at two different locations. During that time he has been an extraordinary asset to me and my training. I was able to play varsity high school football and division 1 AA football thanks in part to Doc's training. He is very knowledgable in what developing athletes need, as well as how to continue training after their time in sports have ended. I have since graduated and continue to train with Doc regularly. I highly recommend his training for anyone interested in strength training, martial arts, or supplemental training for sports.
Troy has been teaching me mixed martial arts for about five months. I don't have any complaints. He's timely for appointments, well-informed about his areas of expertise, encouraging, nice and, perhaps most important, patient! An excellent instructor.
Jason has trained me on and off for several years and is fantastic! He is extremely attentive and helps just as much out of the gym as he does in (even helping me with diet plans). He challenges you in a good way and makes the work outs fun and different by changing things up (such as incorporating martial arts). I highly recommend him!
I had the privilege of working with Practical Combat Applications for a number of years, as a PR and Communications consultant for the organization. PCA is composed of many Martial Arts instructors, with unique individualized skillsets. All of the instructors and Senseis are very competent and versed in various techniques and formats. PCA aggressively prepares a range of clients from corporate members and Law enforcement officers, to students and women who are interested in learning martial arts for survival. Instructor Hameed is very personable. I strongly recommend PCA for anyone seeking self-defense training.
Started training with Larry Feldman Sensei back in 2001, after first observing a few classes. Was impressed by his skill, knowledge, and patience. Even more impressive was the quality of his senior students or sempai. If you're out shopping for martial arts instruction, always pay closest attention to these folks, because they are where you'll be in 5 - 10 years. Feldman Sensei had the most generous and supportive sempai I've ever seen. Still does. Come see!
Cobb Martial Arts is the perfect place to take your kids to learn karate and self defense. Nory Lugo is excellent with the kids. He explains things so it's easy for them to understand and he is very patient. All the kids love him. My son has been taking classes here for almost 1 year and we couldn't have found a better place. He has learned so much and has so much fun.
Since the first class was taught many years ago, the focus of our program has remained the same: to provide students the highest quality martial arts instruction available in a safe and positive learning environment that people of all ages can enjoy. Our instructors combine excellent student instructor ratios with state of the art training facilities. This has helped establish ATA schools and clubs as the leaders in the martial arts industry. Each instructor is a graduate of an instructor program that represents more than thirty years of research and development. He or she will be with you every step of the way to help you reach your individual goals (and maybe even reach some new goals you never before thought possible).
We are a small, family owned business where the trainers are freinds first, employees second. This leads to an atmosphere where the clients are also treated as friends. This doesn't mean we will take it easy on you, but it doeas mean we will take a personal interest in your goals and keep your best interest as our priority.
Thank you for your interest in training in one of the most exciting and well-rounded martial arts in the world! Hapkido Sun Moo Kwan translates to mean "School of Martial Serenity". Our philosophy is through diligent martial arts training we become a positive example for others to follow.
I specialize in self-defense but also focus on overall fitness, weight loss, core, cardio, and strength.
All classes are taught with age appropriate techniques. Generally, kids age 4 and older are very successful in developing the Future Black Belt Behavior (Respect, Focus, Self-discipline) which is taught in every class. Adult classes are taught separate from the kids, so parents can also train.
My low rates, willingness to travel for individuals or groups, and the extreme quality of instruction and experience makes my services ideal and unique in the field of martial arts instruction and coaching.
We have been training students in the martial arts and serving the Douglasville community since 1986. We are family focused and work hard with our students to help them meet their goals in both martial arts and life.
