David has a great teaching style. He takes the time to find out what your tastes and experience are in music and fashions his lessons from that starting point. I recommend him highly to anyone interested in learning guitar.
She is very nice and easy to talk to. She believes in what she teaches. She is very optimistic and helps me with my confidence. She worked with me at my home. My lessons are 30 minutes but a good thirty minutes. Her quality of work is good.
I have really enjoyed taking lessons at Cordell Music so far. He has a good syllabus and the lessons build on one another in an understandable way.
Finding a violin teacher for my son could not have been a nicer experience. Page's Strings got right back to me and answered all my questions. We have a trial lesson on the calendar for next week at a convenient time. Thank you, Paige!
My husband and I knew when we walked into Teal Justice's piano office and shook her hand that she was the right choice for us. It wasn't just the gorgeous piano note curtains or flute lamp; it wasn't how professional her specific lesson plans appeared; and it wasn't how incredibly well she played the piano for us! It was a combination of everything. Our two daughters are ages 11 and 15, and they have been taking weekly piano lessons from Teal Justice for almost one year now. They never had any formal instruction, and we are completely amazed by how far they have come in only a year. Friends and family are shocked by how they can play the piano in only ONE YEAR! Teal Justice is very patient with beginners. She's also very experienced teaching children. She has a way of making them feel very comfortable next to her at the piano. Our daughters love practicing everyday, and we love hearing their music. We feel so fortunate to have her as our children's teacher. We highly recommend her to anyone interested in learning how to play piano (or flute!).
I took voice lessons with him for a show that was six weeks away and there has been notable improvements. I was able to sing most of my notes in a range that was not mine, which is incredible because I was once not able to hit most of my notes. He does specialize in musical theatre; so, if anyone needs help specifically with auditions and shows, he is your man. He does have a strong history with musical theatre and does both acting and singing. Even though my show is over, I still continue to take lessons with him, looking for other songs to audition with and to learn just for fun. He's very down to earth and understands the voice very well. He is also flexible with timing. I am a college student at a school almost 50 minutes away and he completely understands my busy schedule. He also is fairly cheap and very understanding financially. Other good voice teachers can charge up to 70 dollars an hour, so this was a very good deal in my opinion. I do not attend school for musical theatre, I just do it as a hobby, but working with him helps fuel my passion for it. If anyone is looking for vocal/acting help and loves musical theatre (both professionally and for fun), he is a great resource.
Eric not only is patient with the kids, his instruction is thorough, he introduces them to music they are likely to be familiar with, and he combines basic and more advanced instruction in each lesson. The kids "feel" their progress with each lesson.
Every review says as much about the person reviewing as it does the business reviewed. Olga is a conscientious and professional piano and voice teacher and I highly recommend her. A bad review is telegraphing that the person writing it has specific things that set them off. Sometimes these are fair and then the review reads as sensible. Typing a bad review in ALL CAPS is not sensible. The person comes across as obnoxious and at best, as fussy when focused on things most people consider unfair, like free lessons. Unless it is someone who shares the same issue, when someone like that writes a bad review the only person he or she is pushing away is someone LIKE THEM. So in that respect, they're doing the place a favor because they are aborting another bad review. Most of us read multiple reviews and can sort the rational voices from the angry ones. I am a parent of two boys and I have to say that $20 for quality one-on-one (private) 30 minute music lessons is too cheap. This is especially true if the teacher has several university degrees. Yes Olga gives us a discounted rate for my younger son but I do not expect her to teach for free. I am yet to see a teacher giving a $20 private lesson and free lesson for the 2nd child. To do it once perhaps, but that deal would be too good to be true to sustain long term. Not only would the teacher soon go out of business but it is unfair to the parents who are paying a higher but fair rate. In this day and age that is not a fair price for a qualified music teacher. However, $20 for a group lesson of 4 or 5 kids would make sense. My boys were able to read notes from their first piano lesson and are able to interpret a piece of music. Their lessons include scales, arpeggios, classic pieces, aural testing, sight reading and music theory. She is currently preparing my eldest son for the grade 1 Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Exam. I can say she has gone above and beyond what previous piano teachers have delivered, even extending the lesson time by 5 or 10 minutes if needed. She was more focused on my boys understanding the concept than anything else. In fact and she spaced our lessons so they do not overlap giving me ample time to discuss any concerns. Our experience has been that we get more than what we pay for at each lesson. No one should have to work for free. The effort Olga makes in teaching our boys correct finger posture, rhythm and theory is incredible. She is great with kids and I could not ask for a better teacher.
Our daughter had been taking violin lessons for several years, but for the past three years her former teacher’s health reduced her lessons to fewer than 10 a year. We came to Cindy with a tall order ... to get our daughter ready for not one, but two, high stakes auditions ... the first three months after starting with Cindy and the second eight months after starting. If Cindy felt the task daunting, she never let on. She worked with us throughout the process and our daughter was accepted into the Forsyth Youth Orchestra and a earned a coveted violin seat in a prestigious performing arts high school! We could not be more pleased with Cindy and the work she has done with our daughter!!
Definitely understood my goals to learn for fun and lessons are geared toward that goal. Having fun!
Voice lessons with Elideusa are wonderful! She is so patient and encouraging. I gained a solid understanding of vocal anatomy and technique.
My daughter takes private piano lessons with Nancy. I am ver impressed by Nancy's way of teaching kids piano, she's very patient and caring. She's very thorough when introducing new songs. Nancy made learning piano fun for my 8 years old daughter.
I thought he explained things clearly. I liked what I walked away with in the first lesson. I look forward to more lessons. I think he's an amazing teacher.
One of the best vocal teachers out there. You can see dramatic improvements from her students after just a few lessons, and the way she truly cares about the wellness and success of her students is incredible. She goes above and beyond for every student.
My two daughters have been taking piano lessons with Dr. Soo Jin Kim since 2006, just a little over a decade and still going. We really appreciate her dedication and commitment to our girls piano lessons each week and for being flexible when our schedules interfere with our lessons. Shes really patient with her students; which I think its really important trait to have in any teachers.
Brian was a very caring mentor to my son for close to four years when he had to audition to get into a magnet high school for music Brian took the extra time to go over the assigned pieces to ensure my son did well. He got into a very good magnet high school as a result of Brian's individual coaching encouragement and mentoring I recommend him and you Will be extremely happy if you choose Brian
I have been taking lessons from Brock for about a year. One of my students and I actually started together. She is 4 and I'm 34. I was nervous about employing someone to teach an adult and a child. I feel like usually people are good at one or the other. However, Brock does not teach music, he teaches people. He does a wonderful job of making his students feel comfortable and learning them. He adjusts to each individual and teaches the individual, however, they learn. -Britton Pierce
For the last few years, I've had the pleasure of accompanying Suzanne's students at their spring voice recitals. Her students are all different ages and personalities, and from a vocal perspective, they also vary in their musical training and skill level. For each student, she knows exactly what to do to bring out the best in them. I've come to admire Suzanne's extensive musical background and repertoire -- she teaches a variety of song styles with ease. The accompaniment I've provided has ranged from the classics to Broadway to everything in between. Speaking of the classics, outside of English I've heard her students sing in German, Italian, Latin ... and probably one or two other languages I can't think of right now. Suzanne challenges her students in such a way that lessons are fun as well as instructive. In addition to the mechanics, she works with students on memorization, presentation, stage presence and recital etiquette. In addition to that - for the more adventurous students - Suzanne comes up with some awesome choreography! Highly recommend!!
Kris is an excellent teacher, professional and great with my child. My child is now learning at a faster rate and enjoying piano much more under his instruction. Lessons are super convenient since he comes to our home. Also, his fee is very reasonable for the level of knowledge he had and that my child is receiving.
We have had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Myrna for almost 6 years as the piano teacher of our two daughters. Our oldest daughter (currently 9 years old) has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Myrna since she was 4 and our youngest daughter (currently 6) since she was 5. Ms. Myrna’s passion for music is only surpassed by her passion to teach children of all ages the piano. As a piano teacher, she molds her lessons to the level of each individual student making every piano lesson a pleasing learning experience in a warm musical environment that each student can happily embrace. Our experience with Ms. Myrna over the years has been one in which we have grown to appreciate music so much more through the fingers of our children playing the piano. Ms. Myrna takes the time to know each child and their personalities. She is insightful of a child’s feelings and emotions and uses that to channel her piano lessons. It’s not unusual to see children that have taken piano lessons with Ms. Myrna to have to say 'so long', only because the student is now headed to college to start a new chapter in his/her life. Above all, Ms. Myrna is a positive influence that helps keep our children well-grounded and focused on the path of success. We love Ms. Myrna and if you are reading this and considering Ms. Myrna to be your or your child's piano teacher....GO for it. You won't regret it.
We've met Mrs. Amy for the first time in 2009, I was looking for a piano teacher for my son. He was 8 and he never played any instrument before, I wasn't event sure he would have liked piano. They had a connection from the beginning. Mrs. Amy is extremely professional, demanding, but also gentle, very passionate and a sweet woman. She doesn't like wasting time, but she always found the time during class to talk with my son about his day, without compromising productivity. My son started with a 30 minutes class and the amount of progresses he made was incredible for a such short amount of time. After a couple of years, I signed him up for an hour long class, with the approval of the teacher. We doubled the time of learning and my son always told me that time was flying. He grew with her, the bond between this wonderful teacher and my son was amazing, based on respect, desire to learn, complicity, and yes, fun. My son is 13yo now, he loves playing piano and he's also playing trumpet in the school's band. Unfortunately we moved out of GA otherwise we would have never stopped piano lessons with Mrs. Amy. Great woman, great teacher, we've been blessed to find such a great person. I definitely recommend her for any kid, or teen who wants to start loving music and piano. Samuela
