Luis from Barclay's Premier Construction was prompt and friendly when he came to my home to give me an estimate for roof replacement and framing repair. I needed additional work completed to restore my home, which Luis assured me his company was able to do. Turns out they were not. They completed the roof and framing work in 2 days, then spent the next 2 weeks delaying the additional work- siding, gutters, etc. The framing crew was excellent and their work is solid. The roofing crew was efficient but lacked professionalism. Part of the soffits and fascia were damaged and removed, and were supposed to be replaced but weren't and no one tarped or boarded them up leaving large openings for wildlife and weather to enter my house. This showed not only a lack of professionalism and skill but also empathy. They didn't care they just left my house and newly completed work exposed. While working they moved my patio furniture to the yard, and just left it there when they finished. A dangerous large pile of broken glass from a window replacement was also left in my yard and I've been picking up nails daily.
This work was part of an insurance claim and Luis agreed to do the work based on the insurance estimate, and even promised to deduct my deductible but once I fired them for lying about their capabilities, delaying the work and lack of professionalism, they sent me a $14,000 invoice for an $8500 roof. I had already paid them for work they completed and for the siding and gutter work that they DID NOT do and now they are refusing to return my money. Would not recommend!
