Introduction: We truly love what we do! Dogs and working with dogs have always been my passion. I enjoy working with all breeds, small and large. Dog training is such a rewarding career , I enjoy making people understand their dogs better and help them to understand on how dogs learn. Dog training is not only teaching the dog, a very big part is also teaching the owner on how to work with their dog to get the best results. I’ve been training dogs for over 11 years and have worked with all different breeds. I always continue my education by taking more seminars, reading new books to be able to give back to my clients.

I had a wonderful experience with Happy Hounds K9 training! Elisa is awesome. After we had our baby our dog Molly didn't seem to adjust to our new addition and the changes. Elisa responded very quickly to my email and answered all the questions I had. She came to our home 2 days later and she has been working with Molly ever since. Not only is Molly perfectly fine with our now 4 months old, Molly learns all kind of new commands and tricks. And we also hired her to dog sit our dog while we are out of town.

Great training experience for myself and 2 dogs. Trainer's methods of working toward clear communication and an understanding with your dog of what you want really makes the training sessions enlightening and enjoyable for both. Trainer manages to conduct a group class well and still help individuals based on their weak points needing more work. Price is reasonable for the quality of instruction.

Elisa loves dogs and it shows with her training and interaction in the group classses I’ve attended. She’s got many different ideas/solutions for training issues, and easily conveys how to implement these techniques. She’s on time, professional, and very skilled at her job. My dog and I love her and continue to find reasons to attend her ongoing training classes.

Elisa is amazing with training dogs and teaching her clients how to work with their dog and about their dogs body language. Elisa is amazing with my dog and showing me what to do. If you need help with your dog weither it be for reactivity, obidence, puppy basics, tricks, or service dog work she is the person to go to! If you have any questions inbetween training sessions you can message her and she will respond as soon as she can with an answer.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I listen to my clients and then I try to find the best solution for them. I offer different types of group classes, coaching sessions and walk & train.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a certified dog trainer. I’m also AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and a mentor for Animal Behavior College.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was little my family volunteered in shelters on the weekend and I was always around dogs. As I got older, I was working more and more with dogs and I trained my first dog when I was 14. After I finished college, I was working in a 9-5 desk job which I wasn’t too fond of and quite frankly didn’t enjoy it. Then I decided to turn my passion into a career, which was the best decision, I have ever made. I professionally been training dogs for over 11 years now. I own small and large breeds. I also actively volunteer and work with shelter dogs to make them more adoptable for future homes. My entire life revolves around dogs and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
