My wife and I recently painted our bedroom. It had been the same color since we moved in. The bedroom has what I would call a “tray ceiling” with 11 areas framed with picture molding. My wife and I decided the framed areas offered an opportunity to do something special. Enter Michael Moon Studio. I contacted Michael through Thumbtack for which he is highly regarded. Within a day or so, Michael and I set up a time for him to visit. My wife and I weren’t exactly clear on what we were looking for but since this was a bedroom my wife offered one necessary characteristic, “soothing”. Michael took several pictures of our bedroom and within a few days his studio e-mailed us multiple art concepts digitally inserted inside our bedroom frames. This process helped us narrow in on what we were looking for and yielded a second set of concepts. From here Michael introduced us to two of his artists, Nam and Marianne. The introduction allowed Nam and Marianne to see our bedroom for the first time for which realtime discussions and ideas began to form. My wife unrolled a section of the bedroom rug to give Nam and Marianne a better feel for the colors we would be using in the room. Nam and Marianne arrived each morning eager and enthusiastic about the project, always querying us for our thoughts on the work done thus far. Nam and Marianne were very respectful of our home, always making sure to keep things as neat as possible in the bedroom as they worked. The project finished up within six days or so and my wife and I are beyond pleased with the result. Down the road my wife and I see other ways in which we can use Michael and his team to add additional mural art in our home.
