Ben Goheen, the "Neighborhood Plumber," is one of those professionals whose card you keep at the top of the stack and never lose. He was recommended by a good electrician we've used, and has done excellent work for us at our home in Lithonia, Georgia. Most recently, he came over right away when we saw what looked like leaking from a main floor bathroom into the lower level drop ceiling. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly, something no one in the house (including the previous owner) had done before, and helped us take care of it very economically. He explained everything he did as well. As if that wasn't enough, my wife discovered leaking in the lower level kitchen, and it got worse. She called Ben late in the evening, and he came by early the next morning. The problem was a sewage pump clog, and once again Ben worked his magic and fixed it. He also took a trip to Home Depot to get a fan and humidifier for us (we'd have been pretty useless on the trip) and set them up. I think this is 4 or 5 jobs that Ben's taken care of now, and all of them extremely well. Add in a friendly and professional approach, and you have a star.
Kris was quick to respond and diagnose my clogged sump issue. He made time in his busy day to come to my home. Successfully unclogged my toilet and also educated me on the sump. He also gave me some great info on my water heater and how to remedy that issue. He is superb and I will surely use him again!
I'm very satisfied with United States Sewer and Water. The sewage leak into the crawl space under the house was causing a bad odor and flying bugs. Keith came out and gave me an estimate that was really free. Other companies gave "free estimates" also, but charged a service fee for coming out. Keith was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done. His price wasn't the lowest but included installation of a studor vent and correcting the sewage flow design that existed. They did a couple of other things also that added to the value of their service. I highly recommend USSAW.
Lakeside Plumbing was a great experience. His knowledge of the installation of water heaters was amazing for a young plummer of his caliber. I am extremely comfortable with contracting lakeside again for future projects.
Nathan re-routed dishwasher drain hose. This repair fixed dishwasher problem and prevented new purchase. The repair was done same day for a fair price parts included. Excellent service. Very professional.
Ed performed several plumbing services for us on this visit. The largest job was to install a new single-basin kitchen sink with a center drain and garbage disposal. Our old sink had 2 drains and it was not easy to reconfigure the drain pipe for a single center drain. The most impressive thing Ed did was to patch up the counter top around the sink. We had chosen a drop in sink, rather than the more popular undermount style. The opening for the old sink was much larger than the new sink. Ed adjusted the sink position to minimize the gaps, but there were still significant gaps between the sink and counter on all 4 corners. Any other plumber would have left it like that, reconnected the drain and handed us the bill. Not Ed...Ed filled those gaps in with white caulk, patiently adding layer after layer. Then he added an additional seal of clear caulk at the end. Ed clearly takes pride in his work and is a pleasure to have working in your home. We will definitely hire Ed again.
He replaced our water shutoff valve quickly and efficiently.
Showed up on time, very responsive to all of my text messages. Did a great job installing a sump pump with backup battery. Thanks a lot.
In the middle of abnormal amounts of rain and flooding across the region, our basement flooded like many others. I realized I needed to install a sump pump and fast in order to protect my water heater and furnace. Because of the widespread flooding, finding anyone available was near impossible. Many of those who were available were sadly price gouging like crazy. We paid an insane amount of money to Disaster One just to temporarily pump the water out as well as more insane amounts to a plumber and hvac repairman to get our systems back in working order, which had been slightly submerged. Andrew saved the day by immediately responding to my Thumbtack request, talking me through solutions in detail, and giving me options. He made me feel at ease, never tried to upsale, and best of all gave me a very reasonable rate to do the job. (I paid more for the temporary repairs than for his permanent repair). He shared all of his credentials with me, which made me feel even more at ease hiring him. He also went out of his way to bring a temporary pump to me at night to get me through another night of rain until he could complete the job the following day. Metro Atlanta needs more contractors like Andrew because sadly, this area is full of hucksters and posers who really barely know what they're doing on top of often charging outrageous rates for questionable work. I plan on hiring him to do further repair work at my house soon to cover all grounds to prevent any future major water intrusions. Hire him!
Mr. Paaterson executed numerous task: Double Oven Installation Sunk Pump Pipe Repair Hot Water Tank Repair Mr Patterson is not simply a Handy man , He is a problem solver. I was particuly impressed with his disnognistic skills over simply rushing into a Challenge. He and his staff were polite and curteous.
Edward cam out on time ready to work and worked steady through the day to complete my five sink installs with drains and faucets. Also ran copper from the basement to a new island sink. Professional, courteous and diligent. I will hire Edward again for my next project.
My daughter's family and I have used Sam Ivey as our plumber for quite some time. I can say this: He knows what he is doing, does it well and is honest and does not overcharge. He did my plumbing for an apartment and I have never had one problem with it. He also repaired my septic tank when the pump needed work. No problems again. I think one of the best things about Sam is that he is easy to talk with. As a woman I sometimes feel I can't tell what is wrong with something, but Sam makes it easy and explains in simple terms what needs to be done. I recommend his company without reservation--I am sure he will do a good job at a reasonable price.
