Look for a company that has a history of working in this field. Make sure that they are following an industry standard for source removal. There are no short cuts in mold remediation. It takes hard work and proper procedure to correct the problem. There are no guarantees against mold growth. Mold needs water food and oxygen to sustain growth. Proper maintenance, housekeeping, moisture corrections and an effecient HVAC system are part of what keeps you from having a mold problem.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Water damage and mold is very challenging and has standards and guidelines in place. It is not meant for everyone to perform these types of procedures. It is important that your contractor has the right experience and training to perform your work.
