Appliance Repair or Maintenance

Revised — Repair person did come back out twice. Could not repair without spending quite a bit on parts. We chose not to repair. He refunded the charge less the $35 service call. ***WARNING - DO NOT USE*** Called Appliance Repair & Solutions of Atlanta (actually on Winder) to have two problems repaired - my freezer’s ice maker was making ice but not dispensing and the water dispenser would not dispense water The two problems were clearly discussed. When Andriy Komare got here, he went right to “work”. Apparently, the water line was only frozen so it was a quick fix- couple of minutes with a hairdryer did the trick. The ice dispenser didn’t have such a positive outcome. He worked for a few more minutes. Went out to his truck for some reason. Came back in and said he was done. Charged me $175 for less than an hour’s work.$35 of that was the service call. Gladly paid him with a personal check. Shortly after he left, I went to get some ice and nothing came out. Still had the problem. I couldn’t check the ice dispensing before he left because he had emptied the ice during the repair. Hind sight it seems like he did that on purpose so I couldn’t verify he didn’t fix the problem. When I called the next morning (because he left around 5 pm) to let him know there was still an issue, the phone was answered by a very rude and unpleasant woman. She said he didn’t warranty the work because no parts were used. I expected his “work” to last at least the day he “completed” it. She also rudely said that of course it wasn’t working because he didn’t put in any parts. Funny thing... he never said parts were needed. When he told me he was “done”, silly me assumed it was repaired. Andriy called me back to let me know two parts were needed. They totaled $225.90 plus labor/installation. Why didn’t he tell me about the parts when he was here the first time?! All in total would have been $400 plus whatever the installation would be. Couple of interesting things... he didn’t replace any parts but there was a rather large part in my kitchen can?? Also, I feel I was taken advantage of as I’m a 77 year old senior woman who knows nothing about mechanical repairs. I feel he knew the problem wasn’t fixed when he left my home. Also, after reviewing my checking account I noticed the check I paid with at roughly 5 pm was already cashed at my bank by 10 am the next morning. Sounds fishy to me! Be ware!

Appliance Repair or Maintenance

He was very responsive, thorough and provided his objective assessment. The dishwasher wasn’t repairable but he offered to return to install our new dishwasher.

Appliance Repair or Maintenance

Arrived on time to install my washer and dryer in a tight space. I was missing a part and they went to HD to get it for me. I would definitely use them again.

Appliance Repair or Maintenance

Best experience with a repairman! After my inquiry on thumbtack, it took about 10mins for them to call me (no other experts called). They were able to send a tech out in 2hours and he repaired my dryer ductwork and installed the dryer in about 30mins. I was amazed by how fast the service was and the repair looked great! Will use again!

Appliance Repair or Maintenance

Andrew came to fix my dryer not spinning. Turned out it was due to a faulty idle pulley. He quoted $200 for the repair, which I felt was a tad pricey, but the job was done well and I have no complaints. He was quick, fast and very professional. I’ll definitely recommend this company for any last-minute quick fixes for appliances!
