How I can Help Help prepare for auditions. Get ahead in school band or prepare for all-state, jazz band, etc. Learn to play along with your favorite songs and bands. Learn to read music, proper techniques, song charts, and various music styles. Construct a productive and manageable practice routine. I grew up in upstate New York and started playing drums at the age of 10. At the age of 18 I was playing drums for a blues/rock act performing in the Albany, NY area. Performances include Bellstock 12 and 13 Music Festivals, the 21st Annual Camp Creek Music Festival, and opening act for national touring acts Schleigho and Max Creek. At age 19 I moved to Atlanta, Ga to attend the Atlanta Institute of Music. I wanted to further my abilities and gain the knowledge I needed to adapt to all kinds of musical environments and succeed. Please check out my resume to see what I have done here in the past 8 years. At age 28, I currently reside in Lawrenceville, Ga with my wife and 2 Daughters.

I have extensive experience in both playing and teaching. I also have a knack for quickly developing rapport with students, which helps them become more engaged in the learning process. For students with a bit of experience, I have very effective methods for explaining the mysteries of music. I really like working with someone who's been frustrated for a long time, and seeing understanding take hold on their faces. That's the moment that inspires them to learn even more...

  • Scott Sadler Guitar Lessons

    (9 reviews)

Hello, everyone! I have been teaching guitar and music since 1998 and I continue to study music every day. I am a graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music (AIM) and I just graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.A. In Jazz Guitar. I have been playing guitar since 1990 and have had considerable experience in most genres of music, from classical to folk, and from rock to jazz. I have also had extensive performance experience. I am looking to book more students. This summer, I am offering specialized classes in music theory, songwriting, acoustic duo, and playing lead guitar and jazz. Here is a little about my teaching methods. First, I really try to tailor lessons to the individual student. Different students are looking for different results in lessons. Some students are looking for a more involved result, such as music theory and improvisation, involving scales and arpeggios, whereas other students are looking just to play a few songs for singing along with their friends, and then there are many variations in between. I look to satisfy any student to what they want and show them what they need to know. Also, I try to show every student ways that they can teach and improve their results by themselves. Whether you choose me as a teacher or someone else, remember this, everyone: when playing guitar, the more time (practice) you put in, the better your results will be, and remember to be consistent with the topics you focus on. Play through your practice regimen, then take a small break and repeat. Rates: booked by 4 lessons per month Rates will vary slightly, depending on the location of the student.
