I posted a job on thumbtack for roof replacement on my rental home. I received a reply the next day from Gerald, saying it sounded like an insurance replacement. Gerald met with the insurance adjuster at the job sight and worked directly with the company and I received a check in the mail which I cashed and gave to Gerald. He scheduled the replacement and actually showed up a day early than promised and completed the job in one day. He also did some chimney siding replacement which we agreed to at an additional charge in short order. He worked with my tenants and kept me informed. How uncommon to find a contractor who completes quality work before promised. I can't say how pleased I was to have help from my insurance for the job, and never would have expected it had it not been for Gerald. He has built a fine family business with his wife and son that is focused on quality work and materials, honesty and reputation. I highly recommend him. My only regret is not sharing my experience sooner. Thank you Gerald, and Merry Christmas to you and your family !

Gerald and his son were both very professional and skilled at what they were doing. It was obvious from the first consult that Gerald cared about each project and each individual as if it were his own home project. He takes pride in his work and lives up to his promises. The work I needed done was structural with the framing of my house, specifically the joists and floor supports of my kitchen floor. Several other contractors seemed unsure of how to remedy the sag in the floor and one did not even want to take on the liability. Gerald was confident from the beginning that he could fix the problem and he did a fabulous job. I am now considering him for other projects in my house.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My profession was handed down from my father, grandfather, and my many uncles. We are a family full of home service providers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at how long someone has lived in your area. Some contractors move in for jobs then leave you after its over with a warranty and no one to service it.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I grew up in Lilburn GA. Then moved around Gwinnett co my whole life. I have personally built 25 new homes. I started a siding business in 1980 working for other builders. Home repairs come natural to me.
