FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I aspire to be a research scientist. Because of that, I resigned from my previous position in order to be in an academic environment so as to keep abreast of changes in academic curriculum. Hence, I am constantly learning because I always want to provide the best tutoring services to my students.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have an innate desire to teach. I feel elated when I assist a student to do well in a subject that he/she finds challenging.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I tutor middle, high school and college students in science and math subjects including general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, calculus, algebra and geometry. I hold synchronous weekly review sessions for students on topical areas being taught so as to help them improve their problem solving skills and critical thinking abilities especially in physics and chemistry. Finally, I also liaise with instructors and professors to assist students who need extra help in comprehending pre-laboratory instructions, and home-work assignments including writing accurate laboratory reports when applicable.
