"I have been teaching voice for 15 years. I teach ALL ages, levels, and styles. We always laugh as we learn. Beginner? No worries. I put everyone at ease! I also have experience working with those with learning disabilities. Everyone is welcome to learn voice with me. All ages- from five through senior!
I am a proud member of NATS, Chicago NATS, and NYSTA.
I am one of only a few certified CoreSinging teachers in the US, trained by Dr. Meribeth Dayme (author of the Singing Book).
Previous students include an Idol top 12 finalist. Many others have been accepted to prestigious arts programs and won prizes at vocal competitions!
I have a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Millikin University, where I participated in the La Musica Lirica program its first year. Master classes with opera stars Alan Held and Lorna Haywood. Coachings with professionals from Rossini Opera Festival.
Additional training: workshops with NATS (Sheri Sanders, Melissa Cross), and NYSTA (Dr. Karen Prokop), and Chicago Cabaret Professionals.
As a performer, I have sung with Lira Ensemble, Opera on Tap .
I also teach ACTING! We work on monologues , improvisation, and scenes together. I'll prepare you for auditions and get you confident!
I love working with all styles and abilities. It's so rewarding to see shy singers blossom.
It's also wonderful to work with singers of all ages, whether they're children or seniors. Everyone is welcome to take lessons with me!"
