Had Scott come out and remove 3 trees, grind some stumps and trim up a few other trees. I would say overall he did a great job. Trees were trimmed well. Our backyard holds water so it did get a little beat up, but that was expected. Scott did his best to grade and fix it. He actually took out a small tree that was dead and grinder some extra stumps at not cost. He had good equipment and is very personable. And yes, he actually has WORKERS COMP, unlike others, and some that claim to have it and don't. His pricing was very reasonable and was middle of the road compared to the others from thumbtack. But paying extra for someone with workers comp was well worth the extra money. I would use him again.

Scott was very knowledgeable and had great examples of work I could go visit to see his high quality of work. He also did a great job helping me scope a job that was economical and made sure he understood my long term plans for my yard so he could help me achieve them with this first project. Scott was a pleasure to work with and I'll definitely be hiring him for future work as well.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing tree service, or any service is bascically all about time, how long it will take, for tree work we need to know also what equipment is needed, and is there waste. figure in travel to dump and cost to dump waste, alot of unit numbers (overhead)need to be put together to figure out an hourly rate for that specific job.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically working with a new customer I like to go out and meet with them personally and get to know them. Next I like to go over in detail there tree project, answer any questions, and hopfulley educate them at the same time.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My father started his tree service in 1965, I worked with him since 8 years old weekends and summer vacations. Went to a community school for horticulture, arborculture and some turf grass cources. 1989 is when I took on the responsibilty to cary on the family tradition.
