FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing reflects the time, care, and sacred intention placed into each ceremony. A non-refundable $150 deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due two weeks before your wedding. Travel beyond the included mileage is $1 per mile round-trip. Additional customization, rehearsals, or spiritual counseling sessions may incur modest fees. Discounts are occasionally available for military couples, veterans, and active community service workers, as well as for weekday or off-season ceremonies. All packages are fully customizable—ensuring your ceremony reflects your story, values, and budget with transparency and integrity.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our Process for Working with New Couples Initial Consultation – We begin with a complimentary consultation (by phone or Zoom) to learn your story, vision, and desired ceremony style—Buddhist, interfaith, or spiritual. Proposal & Booking – Once your ceremony needs are clear, we share a tailored proposal and service agreement. A $150 deposit secures your wedding date. Ceremony Design – Through 1–3 personalized consultations, we craft your unique ceremony script, incorporating vows, readings, or rituals that reflect your shared values. Preparation & Rehearsal – We review the ceremony's flow and, if desired, conduct a rehearsal to ensure a confident and seamless experience. Wedding Day – We arrive early, coordinate with your planner or venue, and lead your ceremony with calm presence, professionalism, and reverence. Follow-Up – After the ceremony, we file your marriage license and offer optional spiritual counseling or ongoing couples’ guidance to support your union.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Education & Training I hold a Master of Divinity in Buddhism from Naropa University, where I specialized in pastoral care, interfaith ministry, and spiritual counseling. As a United States Army Chaplain and the founder of Lotus Templar Inc., a Buddhist Church, I bring years of experience guiding individuals and couples through life’s sacred transitions—birth, marriage, and beyond. My training includes Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), interfaith officiant certification, and extensive study in Theravada Buddhist teachings, mindfulness, and ritual design. I combine academic grounding with compassionate presence to create ceremonies that are deeply personal, inclusive, and spiritually meaningful.
