I would highly recommend David as a resume coach, especially if you are uncertain or not confident in presenting yourself as a competitive candidate. David’s process involves learning about you as the the job applicant from both technical skills and personality. At the consultation meeting, he asks you a series of questions that help him know you better as a person and learn in detail the importance of each item you want to include on your resume. David’s resume coaching is more than just providing tips and tricks. He is truly committed in researching and learning about why the items on your resume are important to you. He also coaches you to think about how you accomplished each item and why each accomplishment is important to the organization that you completed it for so that you are confident in the information you present on your resume. He uses this information to help you create a final resume and cover letter that truly exhibits both your work and your personality as more than just a list of items but as a descriptive story that showcases how your capabilities can benefit employers.

Mic is an extraordinarily skilled coach who has guided me through some very dark, and some flat out crazy times in my life. From our firs call, I knew this man was truly different from the rest of the coaches I had interviewed. There were times when I felt like I had no one, even my family had turned their backs on me. Having Mic in my corner was honestly the only thing that got me through(more times than I can count). Mic points out on my self limiting beliefs and often tells me the things I don’t want to hear, but NEED to hear. Situations I see as insurmountable he sees as an opportunity, and reminds me how I eat shi**y situations for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert. Do yourself a favor and let this truly amazing person into your life. He will help you achieve the things you had previously thought impossible.

Chaz, from Test the limit Fitness is, in a word, Awesome! He is very professional and dedicated to getting you the results you need. As a nurse, i know how the body works, so i can attest that Chaz knows what he is saying when teaching you the hows & whys of certain exercises. He even works out With you and encourages you every step of the way. Chaz takes your "I can'ts" and turns them into "I did". No cookie cutter workouts here, Chaz takes the time to individualize a plan for you. He will modify a work out to meet your needs. He will even come to you! He was so good, I even had him do workouts with my 3 teenagers. Prepare yourself to be amazed! You can't go wrong with Test the limit Fitness! Pretty soon, you too will be able to say "I passed the Test!"

I truly appreciate the team of Joe and Rhonda Robinson for helping my husband and I through an extremely difficult time in our marriage. I honestly felt our relationship was dead and was preparing myself to walk away. Agreeing to counselling was the last ditch effort for me. I think I went because I never thought it would work, so when I did walk away, I could honestly say I did all I could have done to fix our marriage. Through the awesome in depth coaching sessions with the Wonder Team (Joe & Rhonda) at The Color Of Marriage, I was able to begin working through my healing process and focus on God’s purpose for me in our marriage, rather than what I thought was my purpose for me in my marriage. I could see the progress in my husband week after week as we went through this counselling as well. It’s all about getting to the heart of God’s design for marriage and the roll we play in spreading his Holy Word through action. So bottom line……contrary to my belief…..it ain’t about me….. Thank you so much!!!!!!!! I. Myers

James Sila is a very rare Human Capital professional/leader due to his clear command and expertise in the science of this discipline, combined with his artful care of the individuals he supports. He is able to see and attend to the needs of the business, while at the same time, not losing sight of talent as individual people with real dreams and aspirations. More than simply a "people broker", James is a leader who is truly invested in helping talented people to find the right opportunities to contribute optimal value and achieve their goals, in scenarios that create mutual benefit for the organization. I have had the opportunity to work beside James in this space, observe his skill in this work, and have received personal and professional counsel from him as a practitioner and in my own professional journey. He is able to help cultivate clarity/understanding, challenge honestly, and identify opportunities through is skill in coaching and providing feedback. While being blessed to have been exposed to some great professionals in my career, I have not come across any Human Capital professionals more understanding, caring, and capable than James Sila.

Jack’s message on self awareness, accountability, how you show up, working with others, and the selflessness of leadership cannot be studied or executed enough. We have used Jack Perry for several years and will use his coaching services for many more.

I will speak to the professionalism Da’Mon exhibits on a daily basis with his clients. He is not only passionate about our progress in the gym but also professionally as he has gotten certified in life coaching and mentors a group of us weekly on advancing our careers and lives. I watched him work with 60-100 people every morning at 5am for months and was amazed at the patience and attention to detail he displayed with everyone present. I have meet the majority of his current clients as we all get together for his birthday and one holiday each year. I am a life long client started with him in bootcamp a few years back where I lost 23lbs in 60 days and have been along for the ride ever since. I can’t say enough about the positive impact he has had on my fitness and professional journeys. I have more self confidence thanks to the body we have constructed over the years and professionally I have gone from intern to analyst to manger and on track for a director role.

I highly recommend Kellae! Kellae came to my son's rescue, and we were so grateful for her. My son was a senior and attended Peachtree Ridge High School. He began to experience "senioritis." We needed a someone to that could assist my son and improve his GPA to keep his basketball and college eligibility status. Kellae was that person! My son can testify to this and is delighted with Kellae's teaching style. My son significantly improved in all his classes and by the end of the year his GPA was the highest it has been since Middle School. Kellae went as far as to provide my son with mentoring. She also used real-world concepts to help him master difficult concepts and improved his competence and self-confidence. When Kellae became my son’s Academic Coach, he became motivated, organized, and begin to pass every test when she came into our life. This was more than we could ever dreamed and expected! Kellae is pleasant, and I highly recommend her to anyone. You will find that above being a teacher, she is devoted, kindhearted, and her compassion demonstrations she is willing to go above and beyond to help students succeed.

Jonathon Mummert, or Mummert as we like to call him, is an amazing personal trainer. He created a personalized training plan for me and helped me gain about 10 pounds of muscle, get my six pack back, and gain strength mentally and physically! If you want to pursue fitness, Mummert is your man for the job. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable in many different areas of fitness, but if you have a question he is not sure about, he will endlessly research an answer for you until you have fully understood.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a life coach?

A professional, accredited life coach works with people to help them make important changes in their life, either growing in their profession or changing gears in their personal lives. They help clients turn their dreams or wishes into realistic, attainable goals. They guide people through the process of making life changes by helping them evaluate the steps they must take to reach a particular goal, then help them decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible. A life coach acts as a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Unlike a therapist, a life coach doesn’t help solve problems from your past — they’re focused on helping you move forward with new ways of acting and thinking that will help you reach your goals. Some people specialize in particular types of life coaching, including life balancing coaches, small business coaches, executive coaches and personal finance coaches. Some meet clients in person, while others hold consultations over the phone.

Regardless of which type of life coach you’re interested in, make sure the person holds an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. There are three tiers of credentials: Associate, Professional and Master, which require coaching experience ranging from 100 hours to 2,500 hours.

How much does a life coach cost?

A life coach helps clients set and reach professional and personal goals, develop positive habits, and deal with stress. Some people meet with a life coach once or twice, while others form an ongoing professional relationship, meeting regularly in person or on the phone. The average national cost to meet with a life coach ranges from $80 to $130 an hour. Some coaches offer per-session pricing, especially for one-time meetings; expect to pay an average of $100-$125. People who want to work with a coach over a period of time to explore life transitions, career growth or lifestyle changes may be able to get discounted pricing in a package. For example, three 60-minute sessions cost an average of $300, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $350, and four 60- to 90-minute sessions plus unlimited contact between sessions cost an average of $400. Some specific types of coaching, such as relationship or marriage coaching, cost more than standard life coaching. For instance, three 60-minute relationship coaching sessions cost an average of $500, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $550, and six 60- to 90-minute sessions cost an average of $650 when purchased as a package. Training and experience can also affect the cost of hiring a life coach. An Associate Certified Coach, who holds a certification that requires only 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience, will charge less than a Master Certified Coach, who typically has at least 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.

Why get a life coach?

People of all ages and in all careers have called in a life coach. Life coaches are accredited professionals who can help you figure out the tangible changes you can make in your life to reach your goals; they can even help you turn your dreams into goals, if you’re not sure where to go next. A life coach can also help people find their purpose in life. Life coaching clients often have an idea of what they want to do, such as help people or work with animals, but don’t know how to turn that passion into a career. A life coach can help clients work through the options to find a clear path with concrete steps that lead to an attainable goal. A life coach can also help clients make a major career change, such as starting a new business. Life coaches can help clients develop better habits that will make them more successful, acting as an accountability partner. Life coaches also often guide their clients through major transitions in life, such as a career change or other stressful situations that are made easier with guidance from a neutral third party.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
