I hired Linda Zuk with Focus Five Consulting at a very difficult time for my family. My business meanwhile was unexpectedly growing and I was unable to put a finger on what was going on. Linda led the session with quiet, unpretentious, subtle questions. She didnt judge or try to lead me to a place she thought would work for me. During my consultation with Linda, I realized that my business succeeded where my personal life was not involved and failed where it was. Compartmentalization, it turned out, was a big factorone of those things I had read about in grad school, but never had to dwell on until my life was seriously disturbed. Linda made it look like I had everything to do with this realization and she was just a bystander. Five months after consulting with her I started my own corporation. I dont know if it will be successful, but I do know that if it wasnt for Linda it may have never materialized. I used to think that people fall in two categories--coachable and uncoachable--and I definitely belonged to the second one. Now I think everyone is coachable when they meet the right coach.
