Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am on the job site every day from initial consultation until completion. I treat every job as if I was doing it for myself. We work on only one job at a time. Taking a raw site and turning it into something the customer can enjoy for years to come. I base my designs on years of experience, listening to their ideas and needs and giving them something both functional and beautiful.

Martin first came to our rescue in 1997, when we needed major landscaping for our new swimming pool. The area on one side of the pool needed building up, and to keep it intact and level a wall roughly 4' high was required. Martin did the job right, installing a drainage system behind the timber wall and securing it with over 30 deadmen. He also brought in loads of topsoil as needed and ordered and delivered the sod we selected. As a bonus, he helped us lay the sod. About a decade later we hired Martin to design and build a long garden that extends from the pool up one side of the house and ends at the driveway. At the latter point he constructed a raised garden that curves beautifully around a flagstone plot. He built a stone wall fronting the garden that tapers to the ground, in harmony with the slope of the land. He selected all the plants and flowers, keeping in mind our wish for low maintenance as well as beauty. The gardens and the landscaping generally is something any artist would admire, if not envy. A few years later we asked Martin to build another raised garden in front of our house and to fix the sinking front steps. In addition, we wanted a flagstone sidewalk to replace the builder's concrete pathway. We also wanted the porch to be surfaced with flagstone. Again, Martin came through, rebuilding the porch foundation and laying out a flagstone path that has truly elevated our home's attractiveness. I wish I could think of something he could've done better to make this review seem more credible, but honestly, I can't. His rates are often lower than most, and his work reflects the dedication of a landscape artist. If need to add lasting beauty to your home you should give Martin McMillan serious consideration. Martin and I have worked on a couple of landscape projects (I'm a landscape designer). He performed grading (machine & hand), drainage, irrigation, plant installation (large trees, shrubs, ground covers, perennials & annuals), and sodding. He's reliable, knowledgeable, and an around "good guy." It's been a pleasure working with him.

He has been great at both design and implementation. He is easy to work with and dependable. He has helped us fix an already established garden. All of his work looks like it was always there! We continue to call him when we need something.

For three years, I had a well known landscaping business treating my myers zoyzia lawn. In the spring and summer, we continuously had brown/gold patches and the service would come out with expensive fungus treatments that never eliminated the problem. Then, we switched to McMillan Landscaping. Martin looked at our lawn and instead of just treating fungus, he recommended a program to improve the overall health of the lawn, which eliminated the fungus problem we were having for much less cost. Today our lawn looks better than it has in years, and our fungus problem is gone.
