FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with a consultation in their home or commercial space whenever possible. I take photographs and measurements and learn what they need, and how they interact with the existing space. I hear about their budget requirements and their dreams. From there I write a proposal which is my plan for their space - it can include drawings, conceptual images, etc. Once the client accepts my proposal, signs a letter of agreement and pays their retainer, the design process evolves into the next stage. Depending on the amount of involvement they would like - this may range from a plan they can DIY or it can be full service concierge style interior or landscape design. My entire goal is to make sure that my clients are happy and receive the best customer service possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In order to best serve my clients, I believe in always learning and growing as a designer. I take several courses a month in a variety of topics in order to best serve my clients. I am also not afraid to order any reference book in order to learn more about my clients businesses and unique needs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing Interior Design as an apprentice to an award winning Architect. She relied on my drafting and design skills for her clients and I was given an amazing hands on education that few people get the chance to receive.
