- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I earn continuing education every year. That's one of the reason why I have 14 certificates. I am totally addicted to education/knowledge!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have been involved in many different sports since I was 7 years old. These include: Karate, Snow skiing, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Basketball, Track and Field, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Dance, and SCUBA Diving, Swimming, Stunts to name a few. I became interested in fitness right after I gave a birth to my first daughter. When I was pregnant, I studied about nutrition so I could eat healthy and give proper nourishment to my baby. After I gave a birth to an 8 pound baby (she was huge considering my body size!), I still watched what I ate. So, what did I do to get back into shape? I exercised as if my life depended on it. As a result, I was able to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight in 3 months without a ridiculously small or restricted diet. After my success in shaping up post-pregnancy, I decided to become a personal trainer. I believed that I could help other moms shape up as I did. Ultimately, my mission is to help people live a happier life through/by teaching my clients how to do specific/necessary exercises FOR you, not AGAINST you, providing my clients and community with the best science and service their goals deserve, helping them learn proper body mechanics and effective strength training techniques for continued progression, and assisting them make certain changes in their life to feel better, be stronger, be healthier, eat smarter and to look better.
