About this pro
Before working with Patrick, I had suffered from some old sports injuries and chronic back and neck pain from a car accident. He has extensive knowledge of sports medicine and tailors the workout around injuries in order to relieve pain safely and gradually while building strength and toning up problem areas. I have been on various medications and gone to many chiropractors and massage therapists and have not had much success until implementing some of the techniques Patrick recommends. He also uses massage therapy during sessions to help the healing process. Also, when I have asked to do a certain type of workout for a change of pace, he tailors and fluctuates it to help keep the workouts fun and interesting. He listens to your concerns and is extremely attentive to any issues you might have during the week and will respond to calls promptly if you have questions in between sessions.Jul 9, 2018
Pat has done remarkable work with my husband and I. He is very goal oriented, encouraging and flexible. I am really glad we chose him!Dec 7, 2017Verified
Pat has not only helped me lose weight and gain muscle but also helped me find my self-confidence again. I started seeing Pat to help with my shoulder injury. I enjoyed working with him so I continued with having him be my personal trainer. It was right after my 50th birthday. I can safely say my next 50 years will be healthier than my first 50. Thank you Pat. I highly recommend Pat to anyone looking for a good physical therapist and/or a personal trainer.Nov 17, 2017Verified
Working with Patrick was a tremendous help to my weight loss plan. I was able to get on track with my diet and excersise and had a great time with our sessions. I was able to loose 15 pounds and gain decent muscle within 2 months. The weightloss and strength building cut down on pain in my lower back and helped me become better knowledgeable of my health needs. Definately recommend Complete Home Welness for Training and Physical Therapy!Nov 16, 2017Verified
I found Complete Home Wellness to be very helpful and knowledgeable on my problems and how to best approach my goals. Besides helping me get more in shape, his Doctorate in Physical Therapy made me feel less anxious about my previous back surgeries, without causing problems in that area. I also liked the thought I could set up my appointments whenever my schedule worked out. He's very flexible on days and times. One last thing, his encouragement and pleasant personality made me want to work harder.Nov 9, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Most people purchase sessions in packages of 10. If the sessions are done at my home studio, a package for one person would be $550 ($55 per session). If two people want to workout in pairs, they would just split the cost of $600 for the 10 sessions. If sessions are performed at your home location, then there are additional costs based on how long Google Maps says it takes to drive to your location. On average, this usually equates to about an extra $10 per session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?1. We meet at my home studio for a 45 minute FREE CONSULTATION (or speak over the phone). Here you’ll have the opportunity to explain your situation, and I can answer questions about my services to help you decide what the next step should be. 2. If you decide you'd like to begin, we set up our first session at my home studio, or your location. During this ASSESSMENT SESSION, we evaluate your current health/fitness levels, and examine any other areas of concern, such as past injuries. 3. With what we've learned, we can begin to design the ideal fitness PLAN for you. 4. We then implement this plan during our REGULAR SESSIONS. Each session is about an hour long, and most people choose to meet with me 1-3 days per week. During these sessions, I would teach you how to correctly perform exercises that are appropriate for you. Throughout this time I also provide education regarding other related topics, such as nutrition, posture, and injury prevention. Most clients purchase a 10 session package, which usually lasts about a month. 5. At the end of a package, I could issue you an exercise program to continue on your own. OR you could purchase another package, and I would continue to help you every step of the way. We could make regular changes to your workouts to account for your ever-changing needs, incorporating more variety to make workouts more fun and effective. As you get stronger, we could continue to progress to more advanced exercises. Or if you start having a pain issue, as a licensed Physical Therapist, I would adjust our sessions to quickly address the problem, before it becomes a more serious injury.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelor's in Exercise Science with extensive Master's-level coursework (6 years as a full-time college student). I graduated with honors from UNI. I also received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from DMU. (an additional 3 years at PT school) I have about 15 years of personal training experience, and about 10 years as a Physical Therapist. I've received advanced-level fitness training certifications from the top 4 certifying agencies (ACSM, NASM, ACE, and NSCA).
