Did a great job assembling a large free-standing wardrobe for me. He was on time, got right to work, did an excellent job, friendly, courteous, easy to deal with, went above and beyond what was necessary to finish the job right and was reasonably priced. I would hire him again and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone needing a handyman.Mar 27, 2017VerifiedTom's Handyman & Welding Service Company's reply

Sprinkler and Irrigation System Repair and Maintenance
First day he texted me and said his truck broke down, next day he didn't show up, didn't call or text. I texted him and said not to show up. Some handyman he is!!Feb 20, 2017VerifiedTom's Handyman & Welding Service Company's reply
I am truly sorry for not getting back with you Jerry. A family situation arose and in all the chaos you got forgotten and Iam solely to blame. This is not the norm for me. I understand your frustration and that is all I can say.
Excellent handyman. We were moving and needed a door installed asap. Tom was there the next day and had the time and patience to make sure the door was installed perfectly. He also stained the door for us. He is very professional, dependable and reasonably priced. I will recommend him to family & friends.Aug 11, 2016VerifiedTom's Handyman & Welding Service Company's reply
It was a pleasure working with you guys. Good luck with your new home, and thanx for the fishing tip Ron we caught a couple of real nice catfish.
I enjoyed his work by taking his time. Going back to Menards for a smaller piece. I have more work through out the summer for him. ThanksJun 1, 2017Verified
Arrived on time to repair two fence posts. The work took about 3 hours. Left my yard nice and neat. Very friendly and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Tom again!Oct 11, 2016Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I am constantly working on pricing. I have found that trying to get work by having the lowest bid is not productive. I do quality work that both customers and myself are proud of. Cost is and should be a factor but you get what you pay for in most cases.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically the customer knows exactly what they want and are educated about what they want done and post accordingly. Its not always necessary to meet them before we agree on price. About a third of the time we have agreed without ever meeting until Im on site and working. Im pretty confident when I bid any work and wont bid things I am not sure I can complete. I have many years of experience getting things done and dealing with people. Im honest and trustworthy and that pretty much says it all.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?At a very early age I became interested in all things mechanical and just wanted to figure out how everything works and then why things didn't. After high school I studied Industrial Nh3 Refrigeration and power technology, Drafting, and earned my Operating engineers license with the city of Omaha while working as a engine room mechanic for IBP and Tyson foods. After several years I hired on as a millwright / welder with Wiese Mechanical and have been doing this type of work for commercial, industrial, and residential customers for nearly 40 years.
