- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing system is based on time, the type of equipment we are using to conduct your move, and in the case of long distance moves, mileage. We have conducted many moves and have very accurate data regarding the time it should take to move a 1, 2, or 3 bedroom apartment or home, as well as general furniture items.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We prefer to have a call to discuss your moving or delivery project. More times than not we can quote a more accurate price which typically results in a lower cost to our customers.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It All Began with a Broken Refrigerator. It was a sweltering July afternoon in Des Moines, Iowa. Founder and CEO, Bill Catania, had just finished moving every single item from the family’s broken refrigerator to coolers laid out all over the kitchen floor. A few hours of research led them to the perfect fridge conveniently located at local Lowes a mile from the house. The store promised free delivery, the problem was solved. Except when it came time to set up the delivery. The family would be home all day, anytime would be perfect. No, the clerk informed him, we can’t deliver for ten days. Bill and the family went home. He fired up the truck and retrieved the fridge himself. It was on the drive home Bill began to wonder what would have happened if he didn’t have a truck or the ability to do it himself.
