- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No complicated pricing. I have set prices and will be flexible when I'm offering more then you need or not enough. I also try to bundle things such as newborn-1st year and engagement/wedding to save money for those who wish to keep using my services.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I did it as a part-time job through high school and college. My husband wanted to buy an expensive camera to do his own thing with, and I knew that I loved to photograph people, so it would return it's investment whenever we decided to start a family. Then my family and friends were asking me to take pictures for them, and I realized I was actually really good at it.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most typically I'm doing family pictures, which will always be my favorite. I like getting to know families, and I always feel like I capture their personalities when I look at the pictures afterwards. I really want to expand and do more senior pictures then I have in the past, because I think teenagers are some of the easiest people to work with. They are hilarious and take awesome pictures. I've done several weddings and have enjoyed celebrating those special days, and I truly feel like a friend of the newly weds by the time I've left.
