- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Instrument lessons (piano / guitar / drums) = 30 minute lesson ($20), 45 minute lesson ($30), 60 minute lesson ($40) Voice lessons = 30 minute lesson ($25), 45 minute lesson ($40), 60 minute lesson ($50) Prices listed above are for cash or check payment. We also accept PayPal with an additional fee of $1.50 per lesson. For lesson packages of 10 or 20 sessions, 10% off discount applied if paid in advance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once someone determines they might be interested in taking lessons, we like to find out their personal goals (whether that's through an email conversation or a phone call). If curriculum is required (piano / drum lessons), we give our recommendation for the books they would need to purchase to begin lessons. Then we would schedule a weekly lesson time. And for beginners, if interested, we offer doing just a 4-6 lesson package to start which helps them figure out if this is something that they are interested in continuing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We both began with private music lessons throughout our entire childhoods and continued as adults. Sarah studied classical and jazz piano as well as classical and contemporary voice. Bryan studied percussion with an emphasis in jazz and acoustic/electric guitar (primarily folk, country, rock, and blues). We also have over 20 years experience in writing, performing, and recording. Together, we are the folk/pop band The Well Pennies and we've toured throughout the US, recorded multiple albums, and have written music for TV and movies.
