Introduction: Dylan has been writing songs and teaching music for over a decade and is passionate about GREAT music. He has a degree in music from Northwest University and sings, plays and composes music/sound design (special effects for tv/film broadcast) ands runs the studio full time. It is all about doing the music you want to do (what you love) and doing what we need to do to make you better! If you want to go the next level, learn about yourself and get your ideas, melodies, stories into musical compositions you are proud of, this might just be the place for you. Expect an easy going, but honest environment where we smash goals. Expect to see your ideas come to life even an hour into your first session. Voice, guitar, music theory and recording (how to use Pro Tools for example) can be added in to our sessions as well. I love it when someone reaches a goal, when the "GET IT". My job is to help you get your ideas to paper and a recording. Songcraft sessions are online (we use google chat/facetime/skype and Google Docs to make real time notes and share links, then we go to the studio to record vocals/vo etc.

I'm an adult student taking 1-hour weekly guitar lessons with Dylan. I've never played an instrument before and every week my confidence and excitement grows about learning to play as well as learning foundational tools and skills of music. Dylan's energy and passion are a true motivation for myself as well as any new student. I appreciate his patience and flexibility in regards to my learning style, and I'm excited to see my continued growth with his coaching. I highly recommend him for beginners, he's great at explaining and meeting students where they are at...at any level.

Awesome, encouraging, but also wants you to learn! 30 minutes go by so fast, and yet I feel like I get a lot of knowledge out of Dylan. Not only do I get to learn theory (which I used to hate) and the basics, but I also get to learn the music I want to learn. Which is incredible. And because of all the encouragement, I feel like I have progressed so much more in a year than I ever did playing violin in high school. Taking lessons from Dylan for the last year and a half has been an amazing experience, and I'm going to keep taking lessons too.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depends on project and if it is on going weekly or monthly online sessions etc. Generally rates are $60 per hour. Song builds are all different, please call for quote.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Start with an initial meet and greet at studio or online. Most or all of song writing will be done online using google chat/docs and phone recordings. Later, we go to studio.
